    Hello

    i have been developing applications in DirectX that allow me to allocate a buffer on a graphics card memory and also to render to the screen. I used such methods as IDirect3D9::CreateDevice, IDirect3DDevice9::CreateAdditionalSwapChain, IDirect3DSwapChain9::Present amonst others to achive this.

    How can i do something similar using openGL? what functions will allow me to do something similar?

    OpenGL  is off-topic here.  Please post to openGL forum , just as Sheng Jiang suggested.
