System restarted after getting Event ID 41 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I need some help regarding the event id 41 which has caused the server to reboot. This thing happened only once and my system seems to be stable now. But I want ot know the underlying cause of this problem. The event log gives the following information:

    -<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">

     <ProviderName="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power" Guid="{331C3B3A-2005-44C2-AC5E-77220C37D6B4}" />
     <TimeCreatedSystemTime="2012-06-27T07:03:27.803626800Z" />
     <ExecutionProcessID="4" ThreadID="8" />
     <SecurityUserID="S-1-5-18" />
     <Data Name="BugcheckCode">0</Data>
     <Data Name="BugcheckParameter1">0x0</Data>
     <Data Name="BugcheckParameter2">0x0</Data>
     <Data Name="BugcheckParameter3">0x0</Data>
     <Data Name="BugcheckParameter4">0x0</Data>
     <Data Name="SleepInProgress">false</Data>
     <Data Name="PowerButtonTimestamp">0</Data>

    The system has the following specs:

    Windows 2008 server R2

    Processor=Intel Xeon

    SAN has 6 TB of staorage.

    I would be really grateful if I can get some clue about this problem as why it happened and what should be the possible causes of this issue.
