  • Hi All,

I am also having this issue.

A friend installed software that had a trojan with it... and since then, I cannot install or start Onecare installation.

I have run the cleanup tool etc and still no luck.

Do I actually have to call Support? Any better ideas... they are all on holiday....as it is new years...

I have tried a lot of different things... nothing is working....

I am a very Experienced user....

    Thanks

  • The 0037 error specifically means that Winss can't be installed. The cause of the problem can be that another antivirus product is in place, or in your case, something is preventing it from being installed. Are you sure that the Trojan has been completely removed? If you used other antivirus software to remove it, has that software been completely removed?

Both Norton and McAfee have removal tools to get rid of all remnants of their software which could cause this issue.

  • Started My Computer today, It took ages to load then it came up no Network Connection Available.

Also Win Live One Care Would not start and said it had been stopped.

I Made a new network connection and got that working.

Uninstalled Live one care and reinstalled.

Got the same error message 0037-80070643

I have tried the microsoft support page but that says

Locate the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WinSS registry key, and then expand the WinSS registry key

    Locate the following subkey:

    {74F777F9-6EB9-4939-9707-C5026A1FAB6F}

Well I have no registry key WinSS

Is that why I can't get Live one to reinstall? If so how do I get WinSS back?

It isn't a matter of getting Winss back, something is preventing it from being installed and configured. Please contact support for help on this.
