Internal Service Error

Question
-
When I sign in to this forum with my “remembered ID”, I receive not the page for Access for Developers, but an Internal Service Error. I have no idea how to avoid this, but the frequency seems to be increasing. Happens in both Internet Explorer 11 and Firefox 34.0.5
Any suggestions?
Also, holy cow, 34.0.5!

Hi Folks,
I believe we located the server that was causing this issue and have now fixed it.
Thanks!

If you haven’t signed a commercial agreement with us, it is possible that you are starting to hit volume restrictions on free use, at 4 million characters a month and not more than 400K characters per hour. You can email us at mtlic@microsoft.com with your appID and volume forecast and we will work with you to accommodate your needs. You can also move to a paid pricing tier via the Azure Marketplace right away.

Hi Peter,
This has been going on for the last few weeks, the forums team was made aware of this situation here:
I haven't heard anything back yet though. I'll update these threads when I do.

I've emailed the fissues mailbox with some details of my symptoms with this issue, including some collected data from the IE F12-DevTools/Network capture (in the hope it is helpful to diagnosis).
I got this response:
Hi Don,
Thank you for contacting us.
We have escalated the issue to the engineering team.
We will let you know once we have updates from the team.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the feedback about using this forum.
Since the issue is relative to the forum not Access product. I would like to move it to Forums Issues (not product support) forum to get more effective response.
Thanks for your understanding.

Hi Just Karl –
While Mike has indicated that “something is happening and there is an issue”, it seems to me that his posting is not so much an answer as it is an acknowledgement.

Just curious, but what sort of answer are you looking for? At this point all we can really do is wait for the team to fix the backend issues and send an update. I doubt we'll get any sort of detailed explanation about what went wrong and what they did to resolve it.
I'm hoping this is close to being fixed, but I haven't heard anything yet.

Gotcha, we'll see if one of the admins posts some sort of status update here. If not, I'll post something once I get an email back.

It actually would be nice to see such an update (what was wrong and what they fixed) as it may be helpful for other people working on web projects.

+1. I am also getting same error very frequently.
One more thing i have noticed, threads are marked as answer but they are still appearing when filter by "proposed answers". Here is few links:
and lot more.

Hey everyone - the Forums ownership is currently in transition. In the meantime, I will do my best to help fill in and keep the community updated.
The internal server error is indeed being worked on by our engineering team and we hope to have this resolved within the next week or too.
Please continue to report the issue as it occurs, as it will help us pinpoint the root cause.
Thanks!

The only way I was able to connect at all today was via InPrivate Browsing. So there must be something really messed up with Cookies. Each connection request otherwise was just getting Aborted--not even an HTTP response of any kind! I suppose I could have used the Developer Tools, Network capture to Clear cookies by domain then but it just looked like a DNS problem before this detail was uncovered.

Same here. I had trouble logging in for about a half hour last night and again this morning.Don't retire TechNet! - (Don't give up yet - 13,085+ strong and growing)

That worked. I had to sign in again of course and give my password but now I seem to be back working normally.
BTW while I was in InPrivate Browsing a site survey came up but evidently it is not designed to be used in that mode. I really would have liked to have been able to send something back then! <eg>

So, forums have been behaving very well for me the last couple of days - anybody else observing the same?
I haven't seen an error page for a few days as well. Hopefully everything has been ironed out.

I won't go so far as to say "behaving very well" but perhaps "back to average." <eg>
For example, I still cannot Submit reliably from a Message list, which is a real irritating distraction.

Right. This forum is for reporting issues and making sure the teams are aware of them. We also help with workarounds, when possible. The workaround is to refresh the page. I can usually get it in the first refresh.
