    I have an excel file I am trying to make into a program. I have the sheets needed formatted like a word sheet (no borders) and the cells on the right and below are hidden.

    Whenever I open it or view it, it expands and I see the gray area from the hidden cells on the right. I have already locked the scroll area, but that still leaves a significant amount of gray area on the sides of my work area.

    Is there any way to lock the size of the excel window so that I won't have that problem as I am trying to make it function like a program?

    I'm not sure what you define as "a program" but I don't see anything in your post that relates to customizing and programming Microsoft Project, a project management application, but that is the sole focus of this forum. I suggest you re-post to an Excel forum such as:
