TFS workspace RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear everyone,

I am having a requirement that an utility(c# program using tfs client) which runs on Machine A has to create and update tfs workspace on a machine B(which is server and connected via VPN). The utility works fine locally. In other words if i create a workspace for local machine(machine A) it works fine. But for the remote machine(I set CreateWorkspcaceParameter.Computername to remote machine name), it creates the work space(but work space is not available in both machine A and machine B) and when the workspace.Get() method is called, it is saying that the local machine does not have the workspace.

Can anyone advice us to achieve this?

  • Hello!

As I remember there are 2 kind of the workspace location: local and server. Which kind of workspace was used?

    Thank you for posting here.

For your question is more related to TFS, you could report a problem with TFS itself on Developer Community, provide a suggestion on UserVoice, get advice on Stack Overflow, and get support on TFS Support.
