JavaScript Error: '__pendingCallbacks[...].async' is null or not an object. Anyone seeing this? RRS feed

  • Question

  • There is an annoying JavaScript error been thrown on the Remote Access page when accessing WHS.

    On the URL: http://servername/remote/rdpload.aspx?

The remote console connects but IE is showing a JavaScript error.

    Why? See screenshot: http://yfrog.com/3o78031060p

Client is running Windows 7 or Windows Vista with IE8. Have tried a number of settings on the local clients, configuring IE for security but this looks like a deeper problem.

    Any help?

Does it happen if you use a http://xxxxxx.homeserver.com address (instead of the one you are using which is creating a certificate error)?

Do you get the same thing? Also as per the screenshots, do you have the same experience with the of the of the RDP?

    Cheers

  • No problem here.
Did you install Java on the clients?
    If so, which version?

  • Nope. No Java installed.

These are fresh installations of Windows 7. In fact I've tried it on loads of machines and it still has the same problem.
Might reinstall and see if I still get this.

Are you using Windows 7 as a client? I am thinking it could be related to the RDP client you have.

I am getting the same error message from all 3 of my clients (2 7 machines and 1 XP machine), but only when connecting to the server (not when connecting to any of my clients).  Note that all 3 of my clients have IE8 installed and that they are all inside my LAN as well.

  • I don't see this problem here, but on my systems Java is installed.
