CRM 4 and Outlook Pluing Integration: does it work with every email provider? RRS feed

    Hi All,

    I have a client that does not have any Exchange Server but is using a simple online email like google (connected via pop3/smtp)...

    will the outlook client work or need a connection to exchange? without exchange do I need to setup the emailrouther? right???

    Dynamics CRM 4.0 does NOT require Exchange. If it is SMTP/POP it should be fine. In terms of Outlook working that should be fine. As for the email router, you only need this if you have web-only users or if you have emails being automatically sent out through workflow.

    Hi Finar,

    Please check this video http://video.mikelu.org/emailrouterpop3/emailrouterpop3.html it demostrates email router setup with gmail. So exchange or no exchange you can still configure email router with any pop/smtp mail.
