I have a client who is ready to start deploying the Public Beta for OCS 2007 as they have LCS 2005 already deployed.
They have asked if Video calls are supported in Communicator 2007. I have found no proof on Microsofts website either way. All I find is this:

Can someone confirm that on a windows 2000 professional machine that you can initiate and receive video calls in OCS 2007. I know this feature is unavailable in LCS 2005 with the Communicator 2005 or Messenger 5.1.
I need someone if possible to point me to a document where this is stated to be supported.
Thak you for your time,
Chad Austin

I have now had a chance to test Windows 2000 Professional with Office Communicator 2007 and I have validated that Video chat is functional. This is good news since Office Communicator 2005 and Windows Messenger 5.1 did not support video on Windows 2000.
I hope this information helps someone.

If OC 2007 will run and you have a working and supported video camera, then yes, video should work as it is a feature of OC 2007.

I understand it should work, however this feature is available in Communicator 2005 but not running on Windows 2000.
I dont have a Windows 2000 machine right now to test with, I have a fully functional OCS environment I am just lacking a machine to test this feature.
I need who can one verify this actually works or a document that states Video works in Windows 2000 with Communicator 2007.
Thank you for your time,
Chad Austin
