Our Outlook Integration piece is not working with CRM 2011.
When trying to connect to our site from the “Configure CRM for Outlook” button in Outlook, the website/server we are hosting is not working. There is a problem communicating with the server. Also I sent out a email from CRM and every time I log in to CRM now, I am getting a pending e-mail warning to make sure our e-mail router has been set up.
Is there something easy that we are missing?

I am not sure about the email router issue, but I have some ideas on the outlook problem. You may need to revisit the configuration of the email router along with firewall settings and such.
If this is CRM online I would uninstall and reinstall windows live essentials as they tend to clash and this fixes the problem.
If not, verify that your time, date, timezone settings are correct on the client and the CRM server as it tends to interferee with client - server WCF communications with the CRM services if the client and server are too far off.
Lastly, just to make sure your email router and outlook clients are being set up properly I would refer you to the implementation guide for exact tutorials.

I hope this helps!

Hi Tricky,
If you have CRM hosted in your environment or by partner (not Microsoft) you call download CRM Outlook Client directly from the Microsoft page: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=22DC423A-7194-491E-A169-6ACE16BFDD36
If you're using CRM 2011 Online (hosted by Microsoft) use this link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=E8E6C81A-B7B2-4E57-8599-604967617396
Before you will not have CRM Outlook Client installed or Email Router CRM will not be able to send an emails.
Installation of CRM outlook Client is very easy task however Email Router configuration will require more IT knowledge.
