Can I upgrade to windows 10 for free ?

I doubt win 10 will run on that system. Also it appears you need win 7 installed for the free upgrade.

I don't know if XP can upgrade to Win10 for free.

Regardless this isn't the forum for that issue. You should post your question in some other forum and possibly the Windows 10 General forum or Windows 10 Installation, Setup, and Deployment forum.

First, you've posted to a developer forum and this question is off-topic (will be moved).
To answer your question, no, you cannot. The free upgrade to Windows 10 is only available for Windows 7 and greater. Windows Vista and earlier are not eligible for the free upgrade.
