I meant the link to report as spam would be there, but if you have 3 or more medals you aren't likely to spam, so the report spam link would disappear.
I see most spammers create a new account and them spam away, so they don't usually have more than 1 medal.
Going off of your same logic, every person gets a "report as abusive" link in their posts, so people report your posts as abusive all the time and you are being "hacked off"? Most people here are nice and will only report you if your post really is abusive, my suggestions work on the same principle that you only report it if it actually is true that the post is spam.
I understand it may not be fair for the people 3 medals and up to not have "report as spam" links, could someone suggest another way to implement this anti-spam stuff?
The main part of my suggestions is that you yourself without being a moderator here can do something about the spam and not just wait
and hope for a mod to come by and delete the posts.
Maybe if a post gets a spam vote of 5 votes or more (like the vote as helpful voting stuff) (instead of 1 report and that is it for that post), any forum member here can delete the post at will after a mod reviews the votes???
Also I would like to see the user deleted if he doesn't have any useful posts (as most spam accounts are just for spam and they dont post helpful posts)..
Maybe these forums should hire more mods to keep the spam posts at bay!
