I had two harddisks
- 80 GB -- partion 1(active) - system (boot.ini,NTLDR...) and another
- 160 GB -- partion 1(active) - boot (windows,programfiles...) and other two partitions
Now the 1st hardisk is gone.
But I have windows in the working harddisk. How can i get it to work.
Using recovery console in XP CD, i can log in to the windows installation.
but BOOTCFG /SCAN gives this error
" Failed to successfully scan disks for Windows installations. This error may be caused by a currept file system, which would prevent Bootcfg from successfuly scanning. Use chkdsk to detect any disk errors.
Note: This operation must complete successfully in order for the /add or /rebuild commands to be utilized. " but CHKDSK is successful for C: (Windows partition).
