Can I keep CRM contacts seperate from my other outlook contacts?

I would like to keep my CRM contacts in a seperate contacts folder from my other contacts while a co-worker would like to maintain his CRM contacts in a 'CRM contacts' categories. Is it appropriat/ possible to maintain such a division of contacts and will they be updated from CRM inputs (made by other users or done online)?

CRM will only sync CRM Contacts to the top level Contact folder in Outlok.
