CRM 2011: SSRS Spanish Dates on a toolbar RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, Everybody,

I'm wondering if anybody could help with how to show Spanish dates on a toolbar as parameters.

We have CRM 2011 with several languages including Spanish. When I'm saving SSRS report with Spanish and open it with a Spanish interface everything is fine and translated except the Dates parameters on a toolbar as it remains in US version. Please, advise how I could change it to European dd/mm/yyyy and if possible to have the pick dates calendar in Spanish as well.

    Thanks

    Hi Al-dol,

On the parameters you can use an expression on the values of the parameter: =DateSerial(Year(Today()), 12, 31)

when displaying date information I would suggest you pickup the user format in CRM and displayed based on that format:

Select dateformatstring, timeformatstring from FilteredUserSettings where systemuserid = dbo.fn_FindUserGuid()

    Hope this helped

  • Thank you so much, Nrodri, for your response. So, if a user setting is for a Spanish format then he/she would see the Spanish version of dates on a toolbar. This is why I probably see the USA dates format on a Spanish side of CRM when I'm uploading a Spanish report as my date format set into the USA one.

All dates fields on a report I'm displaying correctly in a Spanish version as dd/mm/yyyy the only toolbar dates are in the USA format.

    Hi al-dol,

that's correct. you can try changing it to other timzone and you will see that will change to your format.

However, my second SQL code, is for use when you display DATETIME data on the tables etc.. this way you can have a report that can render any data format based on the user settings, so the user can be anywhere in the world.

  • Thank you so much, nrodri, again. Yes, that query is very useful. I did use that dbo.fn_FindUserGuid() already to recognize a user in CRM for some reports.
