    Question

  • Could someone please tell me how to

view the chat history without having to see all the

coding text mushed up with the real im messages???

I need to search for some important info between my colleagues,

and searching through all coded text is a pain!

    Thanks in advance,

  • Windows Live Messenger chat history files(*.xml) are stored in your user profile

    C:\Users\<windows logon name>\Documents\My Received Files\<your Live ID + unique number string>\History

A history file is created for each IM contact.

Double click the xml file for a respective contact to open the *.xml file

Fyi..the released versions of Windows Live Essentials are 2011(current) and 2009(last and final release May 2010).
