How can I purchase One Care in Japan? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I see on other posts you say that One Care is available in Japanese in Japan.

In which countries and languages is Windows Live OneCare available?

The Windows Live OneCare subscription service is available in the following countries and languages: Australia (English), Austria (German), Belgium (Dutch, French), Canada (English, French), France (French), Germany (German), Ireland (English), Italy (Italian), Japan (Japanese), Mexico (Spanish), Netherlands (Dutch), New Zealand (English), Singapore (English), Spain (Spanish), Switzerland (French, German), United Kingdom (English), United States (English, Spanish).

    Pasted from <http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/faq.htm>

But I am unable to find any links to purchase it from microsoft.com/japan or jp.msn.com.

Where can I purchase it in Japan?

Is it possible to purchase the English version for use in Japan.

Thanks for your time and expertise...

  • In order to purchase a subscription or activate using a retail key while physically located in Japan, you will need to set the Internet Explorer default language to Japanese - Japan. Once you have activated, you can switch it back to the language of your choice.

You don't purchase it before download. You install the trial - http://onecare.live.com and then activate/subscribe from within OneCare or activate with a retail key from a box copy purchased from a retailer.
