Windows Vista with Volume Key no longer active AND WILL NOT RUN!!!

Question
-
Talk about frustrating! Less than 7 days ago I installed Vista Business Edition using our government volume license key, and this morning when I logged in, I have been notified that my key is not valid, AND VISTA WILL NOT LOG ME IN AT ALL!!!! I cannot do a damn thing to fix the problem. The diagnostic tool gave me this info, but the key doesnt even resemble the key I used to activate Windows and I dont have the option of entering a new key.
WHY .... does microsoft insist on making our lives even more complicated than they already are?
If anyone has any answers, please email me at: mike _at_ simtechdata.com

Hi Mike,
Can you tell me what happens when you try to activate? You can go to System Properties (right-click on Computer and choose Properties) and click the blue "Change product key" link at the bottom of the window to reenter your key. Would you try that and tell me what error you're getting? Thank you
