Case form - Customer field lookup not customizable?

Question
-
Hello,
I'd like to change the default lookup view for the customerId field on the case form but it is not an option on the properties of the field!
I thought maybe it would export with the FormXML but even that doesnt include the info when I look at the customizations.xml.
Any ideas?
Here are some screenshots to clarify:
However Service IS customizable:
Thanks,
Ben

The answer is you can't. Customer field is a unique one, it will give a option to choose an account or a contact. So there is no one view attached to it.
But you can do that using javascript. Here is link

I hope this helps.

The javascript would allow me to solve the problem of changing the view. Thank you.
As a follow up, why is it a "unique one"? Do you know what makes it so I cannot attach a view to it?
I need to know because I am working from the formXML (in the customizations.xml).
(is there a field in the database? How would/could we find something like this out?)

Its a customer look up which means you can attach a contact or an account to it. You cannot specify just one view to the control, the view changes based on account or a contact.
I have a look and if I find something else, I ll post it on this forum.
