Output to Word RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can anyone tell me if it is possible to output to Word 2002? If so, How?

    Or tell me how to read the Word output file, which is seems to be a Word 2003 file, using Word 2002.

    Thanks

  • Jamie,

    I would suggest you to install the converter for this problem.I have resolved this issue for couple of users.

    If you are using Word 2002

    To select the right-to-left language or complex script language that you want to use in Word 2002, follow these steps:
    1. Exit all Microsoft Office programs, including Word.
    2. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office, point to Microsoft Office Tools, and then click Microsoft Office XP Language Settings.
    3. Select your language, and then click Add. Your language is added to the Enabled languages list.
    4. Click OK to apply the change. Your language is now supported.
    If these steps resolved the issue, you are finished.

    If these steps did not resolve the issue, please see the "Next Steps" section you need to download the Converter from MSFT website. Link mentioned below.

  • I gave up last year trying to make this work for me but now have decided to have another attempt. A belated thanks for your response to my last post.

    I use Word 2002. I have enabled English (UK) and installed the Office File Conver Pack.

    My problem is that:

    When I try to open the Course Output Word doc, I get a file conversion dialogue box that askes me to select the encoding that makes my document readable. The problem is that non the encodings make my document readable. Selecting Windows Default for Western European Windows means I can read the code but not the document - see below for an example of what I can read.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

    <?mso-application progid="Word.Document"?>

    <w:wordDocument xml:space="preserve" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:w="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/word/2003/wordml" xmlns:o="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:wx="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/word/2003/auxHint" xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:aml="http://schemas.microsoft.com/aml/2001/core" xmlns:cs="urn:cs" xmlns:logic="Java Script Extensions">

    Any help welcome
