How do I edit files to reinstall Vista RRS feed

  • Question

  • My install of the Vista Business edition crashed my computer. I tried to reinstall, but the PID key would not activate again. It's been

weeks since it ran all the way to the start menu.

How do I edit files to reinstall Vista, or replace it with XP Pro?

I found my own error with the Vista Business installation.

While installing the business edition of

Vista, I used a PS2 mouse. When I went back to work on the computer I inadvertantly plugged in a usb corded mouse.

It took all that time for me to discover the program didn't recognize the USB mouse! I switched the mouse, and all is well now.

I hate to admit this dimb error, but hope that it helps others with the same problems.
