  • My Mom just found out she has the SMSS32.exe Virus.  She tells me that Windows Live One Care does not see it or remove it.  Can anyone explain and or tell me how to fix it please?

  • If One Care is unable to detect or remove the malware you can contact support for help with removal. How to reach support - http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/onecareinstallandactivate/thread/30400b52-7f26-4ba0-bc18-17e305329d90

  • I am just being hit by the same virus. It pops up a message while rebooting that you are at risk and full scan. Security essential, McAfee - no one seem to remove it. This one being installed at the windows OS start up, so once it removes and restart, its already active again. Full scan on malicious software does not remove it either or even detect it.

    Thanks,
