  • Yeah surely it will make a huge difference in rating but it will get more and more harder

    as each coding challenge passes.

  • Not only 1000 points, we get the registration points along with the level acceleration points. So its a huge scoring mechanism.

You are right to have a gr8 chances of getting high score in a programming contest , but you have to be aware of using that devsquare compiler , it will be new to maximum users . Do try the sample test b4 you start attempting the contest .

    So Best of Luck

  • Also try to be as accurate as possible. Coz more you compile more you loose points.

  • does compiling more no of times reduces ur accuracy????can any1 explain how accuracy is evaluated???

    Thursday, October 11, 2007 5:22 PM
  • accuracy has nothing to do wid the no. of compilations u perform...but its ur program logic that matters when accuracy is evaluated...

  • No. of compilation does affect your scoring

Evaluation criteria for the Coding Challenge will be as follows:
    • Coding Accuracy:
      1. Does the solution give the expected result?
      2. Does your solution handle all possible valid inputs?
      3. How does your solution handle invalid inputs or exceptions?.
    • Coding Efficiency:
      1. How many lines of code does your solution consist of?
    • Coding Productivity:
      1. Was the solution arrived at by trial-and-error?
      2. DevSquare records each compilation request sent to the server. The more times the code is compiled the less the score on this parameter.
