    Question

  • I get the error"The requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permissions to view it: Activity Id = d31d0878-441b-e711-8110-e0071b6685b1 Does Not Exist" when i try to add a new opportunity in Dynamics CRM - I have admin permissions. What is the fix for this please?

  • It's more likely that this activity doesn't exist, than it being a permission issue

This seems a strange error to get when opening an opportunity. One possibility is that you have some java script on the opportunity form that is hard-coded to look for an activity with this Activity Id. Or you may have other customisations that reference a specific activity which doesn't exist; I'd check any business rules, business process flows and IFrames on the opportunity form / entity

  • If you are encountering the issue while saving the opportunity, check for any plugins/synchronous workflows, which updates any related email/task/phonecall (activity records). somewhere in the code the activities are being assigned to someone who doesnt have access.
