Windows Vista keeps asking me to validate it!

Question
-
I have a dell pc running Vista. For the last month or so, every time i reboot, it asks me to validate on line. I can't because until it boots up i've no internet. So I keep reentering the validation product key (sticker on top of the base unit). It validates as genuine and off I go.
i have been adviced to run a utility and cop/paste the results into this community. Hopefully, I can get an answer.....

Hello Shortstraw,
Would you make sure that Windows is asking you to Validate or Activate? (they are very different things)
Since Validation is not required for Windows to run, I assumed you mean that Windows is actually asking you to Activate. If so, please try the Activate by Phone method the next time it asks.
If you still have problems, please provide us the full error message you get when it is asking you to Activate/Validate
Thank you,
