  • Question

  • Lately everytime I turn on my PC I get the following message:  To continue monitoring the other PC's in your circle, OneCare needs to update your service information. Please verify that your computer is connected to the internet and/or your system time is right. Open OneCare UI and then click "Renew or Help>>>

I do exactly what the message says but still each and everytime I turn my PC on I get this message. Its only being doing this for the pass week or so.

  • What are you doing to 'fix' this each time, resetting the Time and Date?  If so, the battery in your PC may have gone bad and need replacing.

  • I suspect that Rob is correct.
The following would be worth reviewing before contacting support:

If your subscription to OneCare shows incorrect or expired in OneCare

    • Check your PC date and time. If it is incorrect, change it and restart the computer.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About…
    • Open OneCare and click "Check for Updates" to have OneCare check for updated credentials

If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.
