Crawling Rates RRS feed

  • Question

  • How often are sites crawled?? Webamaster tools tells me that www.thefunkychef.co.uk was crawled 4 weeks ago. Is this normal?? Google seem to be on my site at least once a week.

  • Hola Funky chef,

The MSN bot stops by often enough... Maybe once a week or so...

You may have to give msn a little encouragement providing that your sitemap is up to date...

    Have a great day

  • You have told the crawlers that you update youre website or the content is changed weekly in youre sitemap:

      <loc>http://www.thefunkychef.co.uk/</loc>
      <lastmod>2008-07-02</lastmod>
      <changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
      <priority>0.6</priority>

When it comes to the Live Search, you should just be glad that the crawler even visit youre website.. Just read some of the other posts here, and you will figure out that you are very lucky. I know this answer doesnt give you much, but its the best you will get. There are nobody here that can give you an answer for anything related to the Live Search crawler and its behaviour.
