where are my points? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I can see the medals but not points exactly.
I used to use http://forums.asp.net/ where we can see the points.

Also I do not get mails/alerts on the mail id. Can I know on which mail id I am getting the notifications.

This Search forum is completely wrong for this.

  • You can see your points, posts, and answers from Browse Users. In the future, you should be able to see this on your profile page.

By default, you should get alerts by email to the address of the Live ID you sign in to the forums with. You can change your settings from My Alerts > Change Microsoft Alerts Delivery Settings. Also, if you want to get alerts by default for all threads you participate in, go to My Settings and make sure Enable Live Alerts by default is checked.

  • Hi Andrew,
Your reply was helpful, thaanks. But I could not see my points on the user page from browse user page !

Also I could not change my email address as all my details are getting saved against my email address. I can change my name against my email address but not the email address which was intended.
    Any suggesstions?

  • Hi Sandeep,

If you go to Browse Users from this page, you should see points, posts, and answers (for you I see 8 points, 18 posts, and 2 answers). I think what happened is that you went to profile first, and then browse users and then you're not seeing points - this is something we're fixing.

At this point there's no way to change the email address (or Live ID) for your account, but this is something we know needs to be addressed in the future.
