  • I don't know what happens to my laptop when I start it, there is a notification that " you may be a victim of software counterfeiting, and this copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation". Some one, please help me solve this problem!!!

    Your Win XP Pro installation is based on an Invalid Product Key - such a Key is one that has not been issued by MS, and must therefore have been generated by a hacker's KeyGen Program.
    It may be that you sent the machine to a shop for repair, or asked a friend to repair your installation - and they used a counterfeit disk for the reinstall, or it may be that you purchased one of the many counterfeits doing the rounds of eBay etc.
    You also have a counterfeit copy of Office installed.
    Since your machine is a Compaq, it almost certainly has a COA Sticker attached - for which version of Windows is it?, which edition? (almost certainly Vista, I suspect - either Basic, or Home Premium)
