    When installing Microsoft Fix It Center, after finishing the Install stage, the error message "microsoft fix it Center has encountered an unexpected error, please try again. Error code: 16977922--2147024894" was received after I singed in on the "Online Setup" stage. Can anyone please help me?

    I got same errror code.

    The result was a Fix it Center with no RUN buttons in the action column.

    Error message in Event Viewer indicates it is DCOM/registry/permission related.

    Pursuing this, I found a kind of suggestion for solution.

    Before going down this semi-murky road, im curious if some advice will be given here,

    including the possible serious(?) underlying problem.

    (But I know.. the question was asked more than a year ago)

    I also have been getting this same error. As for the Suggested Help that requires me to go in the registry I have no idea   Who, What, Where, & How? I'm ok with knowing if my computer is fine or is having issues. No idea how to tweak programs. Sounds good just not how to do it. So when this comes out in regular app. maybe will try again. Good idea but out of my league
