how can we send a double data? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

A double type data has 64 bits, but I see the sora platform I/Q component is 8 bits,
so how can we do that to send a double data?

    thanks!

  • Do you mean the data type of I/Q is double?

The I/Q is fixed-point type with bit width of 8. You can quantize the double I/Q and then transmit them.

If the "double" means the data from your application, then there is no problem to send them. You just treat then as raw data (bytes) and use the usual techniques as channel coding, modulation.... to modulate them to I/Qs.

  • Hi buddy,

In my opinion, you can easily divide the data into small parts and send it.

In rx you can combine the divided data into a double data again.
