I have been running Visual Basic 6.0 on windows virtual PC for over a month now on a Toshiba Satelite C650 with windows 7 SP1 without any problem. Recently, I tried starting the virtual PC but got an error titled "Cannot start Windows Virtual PC Host
Process. Check the System event log for more details." and "
vpcmm.exe process could not be started." When i opened the event logs, the error recorded is "Virtual machine ''. Error - Server execution failed (0x80080005)." I tried restoring my computer but still the same error persists. I ran SFC
/Scannow and got
errors that could not be repaired.
Here are some of the logs. I tried re-running the installation package but got an error that "The Update is not applicable to your computer", and
when I checked the event logs I got, "Windows update could not be installed because of error 2149842967 "" (Command line: ""C:\Windows\system32\wusa.exe" "D:\Software\Windows6.1-KB958559-x86-RefreshPkg.msu" ")",
What do I do?
