two folders with a same name within a same location !!!

    Question

  • I've redirected `C:\Users\MyName\Desktop` to `D:\Desktop` as instructed here. After this, Windows Explorer shows two `Desktop` folder with a same name (or seemingly same) within `C:\Users\MyName` folder; one resolves to `C:\Users\MyName\Desktop` that is empty, and the other resolves to `D:\Desktop` that contains my desktop contents which already moved there. However, command-line directory list shows only one `Desktop` folder (i.e. `C:\Users\MyName`).

Can someone explain this strange issue? and how to get rid of it?

P.S. Please help me to find right forum for this question if I've posted it in a wrong forum.
