  • yes i have but i do not want to install it

if you want to install linux go for ubuntu linux that is the best

www.ubuntu.com you can download it free of cost .

But like me if you do not want to install it then go for live CD of linux
In live CD's you do not have to install linux it gets booted from CD and you
    can comfortably work on it.

  • from where you got that DVD?
    it might be corrupted.
or might be your system h/w config is not appropriate.
    SUSE 10.2 wants more RAM.
if you will boot the CD for checking system configuration on your system having 256 Mb ram then also it will show inappropriate RAM.
