  • The trouble with tribbles.
    Currently on a network drive, the compressed backup file is 122gigs, this seems excessive because the single drive backed up into these files is only 32gig. How do I limit this ever growing consumption? The network drive is only 320gig in another six months it will be completely filled.

  • Well, what is happening is that every time you add new files or change existing ones, OneCare sees this and backs them up. It does not replace the older versions of previously backed up files or delete ones that you removed from the computer. The solution is to delete the old backup set and start a new one after a while (or start the new and then delete the old...) or yes, you will run out of space.
