Hello forum, not sure if this is where I post this,
Just read about the dissolving of Live One - that probably explains this notice from my security center. And another post about the same issue with lots of tech talk and complicated procedures.
On my lap top, vista 64 bit, home premium, my windows security center says: virus protection not compatible Windows live one is on but is reporting it's status to Windows Security center in a format that is no longer supported. Update through the Live one program or contact manufacturer for updated version.
Is this being resolved via an update? Anyone tell me what I"m supposed to do now? OR what does this really mean to me?
Plus: can someone please tell me if I NEED to turn on Windows Defender? according to another post, Live One disables it?
No, leave Defender off. OneCare includes the protection of Defender. -steveMicrosoft MVP Windows Live / Windows Live OneCare, Live Mesh, & MS Security Essentials Forums Moderator
