1. Go to onecare.live.com
2. Click the "Subscribers" link in the lefthand panel
3. Click "Add Another Computer" link in lefthand panel
4. Click "Install Windows Live OneCare"
5. CHoosing to add the software to another computer (not via the demo, which i had to use since the other link continually would take me back to the "Add another computer" subscribers page)
I had to go out of my way and download the trial and register it that way... if my mom or dad were trying to do this, the experience is broken and confusing enough that they might get stuck...
Why's this link available on the onecare website (to 'add another computer'/'install onecare') if all i'm going to be told to do is:
- install the trial
- use my cd
I would expect that the 'install windows live onecare' link would:
1. download the software (even if it's just the trial installer)
2. install the software
3. be prompted to input my subscription info
If the 'install windows live onecare' software isn't meant to download an installer..... why even provide the link? why not instead just say "please download the trial and input your subscription credentials or, if you purchased media + onecare product key, please use that cd/dvd, etc etc"
Thanks--
