Windows product key no longer valid? RRS feed

  • I just turned on my HP laptop today and for some reason I am now promoted to enter in a Windows product key because the current one is invalid. I have been using Windows Vista now for about 3 years and never had this problem. Please Help!

    For some reason your PC is unable to properly read the SLIC table in the BIOS, which is require to be able to self-activate teh OEM_SLP Key in use here – you need to change the Key to the one on your COA sticker
    To do so, use the Change Product Key link at the bottom of the System properties page. You may need to activate by phone.

  • Same problem and the sticker is wore off my computer from 3 years of use. Would upgrading BIOS help?
