Key Frames for stitching images RRS feed

  • Question

  • You have key frames for videos, which is a great tool to select what is to be seen in the stitched panorama.

I would like to have the same ability for photos too.

I take a series of overlaping photos with a person moving in the scenery, with the person in the middle of each separate photo. When stitched to a panorama, the stitching algorithm usually misses several of the persons. So I do not get the result that I wanted: a panorama with several sequential instances of the person walking thru the panoramic landscape.

When the person is moving slowly, it is more practical to take photos than a video. And it also saves storage.

What is needed here is exactly the same as with videos: possibility to highlite key frames (key areas) in different photos, to be included in the stitched panorama.

    Would this be possible?
