Regarding activation of a token RRS feed

  • Question

  •

As I said in a previous thread, I live in Japan with an English OS. I went out and bought the OneCare package and now wish to activate the subscription using the product key inside the case.

Unfortunately, When I try, I get stuck in a loop telling my to "get.live.com"

How do I resolve this issue and activate my token. I tried clicking the link on the "get it now" page but it returns to the same loop process.

    Advice please!

Since you are located in Japan, you must set your IE language to Japanese in order to activate a new subcription for OneCare. Once activated, you can set it back to English if you wish. This only applies for a new subscription activation. Subsequent activations for that account will not perform the IP check to IE language.

  • Nestor, for Puerto Rico, you should be able to set it to Spanish (Puerto Rico) - ES-PR or US English. If that isn't working for you, please contact support.

Since you have not yet activated a subscription, select the option that you are using a trial or beta copy and you can proceed to email support without validation once you've signed in.

  • Nestor,

Try removing ES-PR from the list of languages and try the flow again. And let me know if it works?

Btw, how did you buy OneCare? Did you get it from Amazon.com or did you buy it in a store in PR?

If you can't get through, please email me at sboots@mvps.org and put "OneCare - Puerto Rico" in the subject.
