Pull Friends List Data from Xbox Live RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm writing an android app that is meant to pull friends list data from Xbox live.

Is there a way to pull this information from the Live REST API or is there another service than can allow this?

I know this is unlikely the place to be asking this information but I have looked for days and I have no idea where else to look. I was talked to a Microsoft support rep and he said to try general Xbox support. I then contacted general Xbox support and she said to try ID@Xbox. I then contacted ID@Xbox and he said to try here.

Can you point me in the right direction?

  • Hello,

I'd ask on the Xbox Developer forums.

As Microsoft's Xbox forums are on a different platform, we cannot move the question for you.

  • Do you know the link to the Xbox Developer forums? The link you provided seems to lead to a "Page not Found" placeholder.

I ran a quick google search but the forums I see are all for older services or not in operation.

    Thanks

  • Hello

If you go to http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/ they have a list of links, including "For Developers" - not sure if that helps?

  • Hi,

I get the same page from my windows desktop.

My windows phone has a dropdown for Xbox, Fans, and For Developers.

The For Developers provides choices of:

    Games
    ID@Xbox
    Windows 10
    Jobs
    Designed for Xbox

    The ID@Xbox link is www.xbox.com/en-US/developers/id?xr=footnav

Not sure if that's the link you are looking for as it seems to be for developing games for Xbox live.
