    Question

  • How do I setup an index with hyperlinks to bookmarked paragraphs throughout my documents as I can do in Word?

  • Stan,
    That's a very good question...
    The answer is YES .

BUT you've to manually code it; using HTML [the source tag ] at the bottom of Windows Live Writer. I've done this, and it's worked fine, and the ONLY easy solution I could find, was using a template injector, but you still have to do some coding by hand. It's nowhere as easy, or as nice, as it could or should be.

I wish someone would write a plug-in to create and manage them [hint-hint ].

You can use a nice little tool called Dynamic Templates.
I really suggest you go to the website and watch the videos to get the real idea of the plug-in.

You can do other things too; it's quite configurable to various things Windows Live Writer doesn't do by default.

I use this to INDENT text [example]:
       <p style="margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.5in"><br /><%= _selection %></p>

    Hope this helps.
