Can't get remote music player to work on my laptop (IE9) RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I access my WHS 2011 via the Remote Web Access site using my laptop with IE9, click my Music library, and select some album or tracks to play, the pop-up player window appears and just freezes. After a few seconds, I get a "page not responding" error and the whole browser window locks up. I can access the library on my laptop using the latest Chrome build, and it plays just fine. I've also been successful accessing the site from other computers at my office running IE8 and IE9, so I don't think it's an issue with network settings, but rather something very specific to my IE9 installation. Here's a list of my enabled add-ons:

    • Shockwave Flash
    • HP ProtectTools
    • Lync add-in and BHO
    • Messenger Companion
    • Silverlight
    • Office Document Cache Handler
    • Windows Live ID Sign-in Control and Helper
    • Blog This in WL Writer
    • OneNote Linked Notes and Send to OneNote
    • Speckie
    • Skype Plug-in
    • Java Plug-in

I don't have tracking protection enabled. I've tried using compatibility mode, but the results are the same. Any ideas what I should check (IE settings, add-ons, certificates, etc.)? At this point, it's just annoying, and the site doesn't provide any details (AFAIK) about the error. Thanks!
