Blue screen on WHS v1 with diffrent codes (0x0000008E or 0x00000050 or 0x0000000A) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there, after a long period of problem free running time, I found that I could not make a connection to my home server any more. It turned out that it displayed BSOD (well, I havn't seen those around for a long, long time). However, when my family's pictures, music and home movies are involved, I have to admit that I become a little nervous :-( Since the BSOD starts right at or after the log-in screen, I cannot do anything with the software. It switches to the BSOD every time. Since I have one OS drive and two data drives, can I re-install without losing my data? Please help a desperate colleague :-)

  • Test your server's memory modules; probably you have a failing module.

I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
