  • Hello smfE,

You appear to be a Victim of Piracy. If you do a search of the internet for the last 15 digits of the Product Key found in your Diagnostic Report, you will find over 10 pages of sites that have this Product Key listed.  I have also run the Product Key and PID thru our system and it returns as Blocked by Microsoft. Which is not surprising considering how widely leaked this key is.

I highly suggest returning to the person or company, that sold you this Vista, and demanding the Genuine Microsoft software that you paid for. Or at the very lest, a refund.  In addition, I suggest seeking legal advise as to if any civil or criminal laws have been broken (in the area that you live) by the person or company that sold you this Vista.

I also suggest submitting a Piracy report at http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/

I am very sorry for this happening to you. This is why Microsoft is putting so much effort into anti-piracy. In the hopes that by doing so, less people will be embezzled by software pirates.

    Thank you,
