  • Hello TONY6756,

Many times the problem you are experiencing is due to a problem with an Office Genuine Advantage-related scheduled task that is not working properly.

To open Scheduled Tasks, click Start, click All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Scheduled Tasks.  Right click OGALogon.job and delete it.  Restart the computer.

Post back to let us know if this worked for you.

One additional thing, please know that the installation of Office Professional 2003 on your computer is a Volume Licensing edition.  If you purchased this copy of Office as an individual consumer thinking that it was a genuine retail license for Office, you may be the victim of software piracy or counterfeiting.

On the other hand, Volume Licensing editions of Office Professional 2003 are installed on computers associated with larger business, educational, or governmental organizations that need flexibility in installing Office on many computers, so if this applies to you and your IBM/Lenovo computer, please disregard my previous comment.
