Installing Windows XP Professional

  Hi,

  I'm building my own desktop. here is the configuration

  Intel Core2Duo E8400, EVGA Motherboard (7150/630i), 4gb Ram

  I tried installing windows xp professional(genuine CD).
  I'm able to boot up from the cd but it says checking configuration and the screen goes black. how to  fix the issue.
