I need to strip down my home build server and rebuild using the same components, do you have make sure (apart from the System (C) drive) the the storage drives go back in the same order, in PC terms I have D, E & F. In other words do D, E & F always have to be D, E & F while they are holding WHS data.
The system drive (which contains the SYSTEM and primary DATA partitions) must still be the system drive afterward. Other than that, Windows Home Server will not generally care, as long as it can still see the drives.I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
