USB Floppy for F6 RRS feed

  • Question

I did a build of the ML110  G4 and then foudn that there were SATA AHCI drivers on the CD, but only as a boot disk creator, and the ML110G4 doesn't have a floppy connector on the Mobo.

So I need to acquire a USB Floppy, but as many will know not all USB floppy will work.  I have the KB for XP here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916196 but I'm having to guess that it's the same list for 2003.  Now as for buying one, it seems to be a hit and miss afair as to what you get.  Anyone know some currently available drives that definitely will owrk?

  • Risky,

Quite a few people in the same situation have managed with a USB thumb drive. Might be worth trying.

  • I'll gibve it a shot- though I still have to dig out a FDD and get it on some other box in order to get the files as HP only supply a floppy creation util, not the drivers.
