  • Hello Des wilson,

Your mgadiag report requires further analysis from Darin Smith, the Microsoft moderator of the forum.

  • Hello Des wilson,

According to my Key Information Tool, this key does appear to be Genuine. The first thing I suggest is going to http://microsoft.com/genuine/diag and click the Start Diagnostic.  The site will check to confirm that Windows and IE (or Firefox) are set up correctly to allow Validation to occur.

Once the Diag site shows all green check marks, click the Validate Windows button.

-If your Windows Validates as Genuine, reboot and see if you still see the Non-Genuine message windows.

-If your Windows Validates as Non-Genuine, please write down or copy the Non-Genuine Validation error message and post it here so I can see it.  (The error text can sometime highlight what the issue may be, so please be as exact as possible).

    Thank you,

    Darin MS

  • Windows XP Genuine Validation Results

<script type="text/javascript"> var expandText = "View details"; var collapseText = "Hide details"; </script>

This copy of Windows did not pass genuine validation.

The product key found on this computer was not assigned by Microsoft.

  • Hi Des,

Would you email me the Product Key to <removed>

The reason I have asked you to send to a Hotmail address is because if I post my Microsoft address I will get a ton of spam and I don't want you to post your email address for the same reason. The temp Hotmail address allows me to close down the account and create a new one when the spam gets too bad.

    Thank you,

    Darin MS
